My mom was happy when we were happy, whether shopping, "surprising" us by singing Happy Birthday with a birthday cake filled with lit candles,
or dancing with my friends at my teenage parties...
And she even liked my music! To this day, I miss her...
My dad loved his girls and truly enjoyed spending time with us. He was our mentor and teacher, and extremely proud of who we were.
Our daddy/daughter dates taught us a great deal, especially how much he loved chocolate ice cream... It's interesting to see that he left a big part of himself in each one of his daughters
And you know what? We love that!
My Grandma loved her family, and when her oldest daughter (she had three) became a widow at a young age, she moved in and took care of her grandchildren while my aunt worked.
She did all the cooking. I was young when she passed and don't remember much, but I do remember
she loved us, and her pirogen was the best!
My dad always said, if you have one true friend, you’re extremely lucky. And I’m extremely lucky.
My BFF and I met in the fourth grade and are still going strong. She’s the one who has always made me laugh, and has always been there for me.
Although separated when she moved to Connecticut
in our early teens, neither time nor distance has ever come between us.
Love is different for each relationship in your life. There’s the love of your parents, siblings, spouse, children, and even your friends.
Each one is deep, but unique.
The same holds true for your pets. You love your dog without reservation, from your toes.
And they love you back.
Ain’t love grand?
I met my very first love when I was just 14 years old while vacationing with a close friend and her family.
He was the most romantic person I had ever known and would frequently serenade me with
Johnny Mathis love songs.
One night, several years later, while leaving a Johnny Mathis concert – coincidentally with that same friend – she poked me!
I looked up and there he was. Neither his date nor mine kept those violins from playing
as we just stood there,
looking at each other…
Your first love is one you never forget. The curiosity of your feelings, the wonder at his.
Falling in love with the romance of it all,
regardless of your age.
True love stories never have endings,
so to this day, I wonder…
As easy as YES, MAYBE, or NO...
There is nothing more beautiful than a bride.
Nothing more sacred than reciting your wedding vows,
and nothing more fun and exciting than the celebration.
And then there are the memories...
Live weddings are coming back and you or someone you know
is planning that special day!
